May 2020 Comal River Cottages 415 Hi Cathy! Our experience at Comal River Cottage 415 was absolutely perfect and beautiful and unforgettable! I’m happy to post online today to the link that was emailed to me, and also Trip Advisor. Wow!!! We really had the BEST time! Thank you for making our reservation so easy and comfortable. We can’t wait to come back. Everything was perfect, the cottage was immaculate. Our stay was magical! Also, just wanted to let you know that my daughter couldn’t find her RayBan sunglasses when we left. If anyone turns them in, please let me know and I will be happy to pay for postage on that. May 6 ·2018 Comal River Cottages 405 We fell in love with 405 as soon as we arrived! The cleanliness and the “home feeling” made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. Excellent spot right on the river to jump right in! The two kitchens make everything so convenient. The first day we BBQ’d on the bottom floor with easy access to that kitchen, second evening we fried up some wings upstairs and enjoyed our meal on the balcony. The many speakers around the house guaranteed you won’t miss any of the jams being played while moving about the huge house. After a day filled with activities, the view from the balcony was perfect to unwind and relax. The beds were perfectly made and felt as if we were sleeping on clouds. If you have any issues be sure to message Cathy on the Airbnb app and you’ll receive a prompt response! Everyone had a great time! We highly recommend and look forward to our next visit! Apr 22 2018· Comal Cottages on Union 297B I absolutely loved our stay! It was quite spacious, clean and close to downtown New Braunfels. The backyard scenery is perfect! It’s also about a half mile from the river. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much! I absolutely loved the place! Amy ☆☆☆☆☆

Sep 24 · 2017 Comal Cottages On Union Ave 291 This house was absolutely perfect. The location is walking distance to the toobing chutes. Also has a cute diner directly across the street, and an amazing ice cream shop right next door! Our group was 10 adults getting together for my husband's birthday. We all have small children, but made this trip a grown up weekend. The house was perfect for our adult group, but would have been great for people with older kids. I only say that because the home does have a few sets of stairs, so toddlers may be a little bit of a challenge. Other than that, AWESOME house! We're definitely booking it again! Candace ☆☆☆☆☆
July 2017 Comal Cottages on Union #297B Choosing this rental was a very last minute choice. We had to reschedule our original date at a different condo due to kids schedule changes. So happy we booked this amazing property. We stayed in Cottage #297B. Location is perfect! The home itself was amazing! The pictures on the website are great. Everything about this place screams relax and have a great time. From everything being open concept to the fabulous bathroom (shower might have been one of my favorite things about the cottage...lol). The kitchen is massive and enjoyed cooking with my husband, daughter and a couple of friends. The "retro" decor is perfect for this place!!! The parking is excellent as well. 3 Spots!!! We did not drive anywhere except to the grocery store upon arrival. We walked to Schlitterbahn, our friends Comal River Condo, Spud Ranch and the gift shop off of Union. The cottage is secluded enough yet close to EVERYTHING!!! The backyard is also quite amazing. We did not use the fire pit but did grill out and enjoy the swings and fun night lighting. We absolutely will be back hopefully sooner rather than later!!! We have been coming to New Braunfels every summer at least twice since 2000. Our kids are now in college and still look forward to New Braunfels time. This was the perfect place and they are looking forward to the next time we get to go. BTW....Cathy is super friendly and was available when I had questions. We were truly guests, not numbers at the cottages. Pamela

August 2014 Osprey Haus We stayed at the Osprey House 8/8/14-8/10/14 - it was awesome. The house is top notch and has everything you need. If you are looking for a wild party spot, this isn't it. This is located on a part of the river that's a little less populated making for a quiet but very relaxing stay. This is a very beautiful and newly updated home with beds for 10. A short walk down to the bank takes you to the river where there is a perfect place to hangout and swim. The wrap around porch has a beautiful view and each and every room has its own unique flair. May 2013 Waterwheel Cool River Condo C-102 We were so impressed with our stay at the Water Wheel Condo! The beautiful grounds, pools and hot tubs were exceptionally well maintained. The scenery from the condo windows was beautiful. We sat out on the balcony, had our coffee and watched the wildlife every morning! The furnishings inside were very, very nice. April 2013 Waterwheel Cool River Condo C-102 There were 2 couples and no kids ( this trip). Condo had all the amenities, it was clean and comfortably furnished. Plenty of room for 4 people. Spa was close by and not busy which was also nice. We BBQ'd one night and had a picnic by the river the other. Would definitely stay again and certainly think the kids would enjoy it also. Cathy (the owner) was easy and helpful to work with and we enjoyed our stay so much we look forward to returning in the future. |

Nov 12 2017 Comal River Cottages 405 Every year a group of friends and I come New Braunfels to partake in Wurstfest! This year, the group grew and this place was perfect accommodate everyone. It comes out to about the same price a hotel would cost per night AND it's within walking distance to the fair grounds. Check-in was a breeze. We were allowed an early check-in at 2pm and came in to tidy, well-lit house. Unfortunately, due to a slight problem in the downstairs accommodations, some people in our group had to find other sleeping arrangements. It wasn't something that was able to be resolved over the weekend but the upstairs accommodations were perfect! The river was nice and perfect for dipping your feet. The speakers throughout the house were really cool and we were pleasantly surprised to discover some other features on our own (I won't spoil anything). I'd definitely come back next year Amy ☆☆☆☆☆

Oct 1 2017 Bear Haus 1 & 2 on Lake Dunlap Very huge home, comfortably fits 14 people or more! It's secluded more in the country, neighbors are friendly and the house is right on the water. Great for family vacations for sure! Clean(although the lower house had a pretty bad smell, but it was still clean down there, just a strange smell) Overall, it was a great home for the weekend ! June 2014 We stayed in cabin 405 last week and the home was simply perfect. We had a group of 16 stay the week with room to spare. I never felt we were on top of each other. The house was clean and well equipped. We had a wonderful time. We would also like to thank you for your prompt and professional assistance from the time I made an inquiry about the home to the day we arrived. April 2013 The Bear Haus 1 & 2 are perfect for a large group. The house is stunning!! We had 22 people attend an annual April weekend trip. This is BY FAR the best place we have stayed at. Having two kitchens provided us with plenty of room for our groceries and allowed us to make dinner/bake pizzas so that we could all eat at the same time! The decks were large enough for us to all sit together and enjoy the beautiful outdoor area! The rental process was very easy. We will stay here again. Valerie ☆☆☆☆☆
March 2013 Waterwheel Treehouse K-303 We spent three months at the Water Wheel in unit K303. It is the second winter we have stayed in the same unit. We love the location of the condo. It is very quiet and the spacious balcony lends itself to lots of sun shine for the winter months. Cathy Estrada is always a treat to deal with. She is very attentive to your needs in a very friendly, professional and prompt manner. The condo is in need of a few upgrades which we have asked Cathy to pass on to the owner. We are already booked for another winter. Thanks Cathy, for another great winter experience. |
